Greenleaf
Custom carpentry for a landed home. Full-height glazed display cabinetry runs through the reception rooms, with ornate timber wardrobe doors, a stone island, lit open shelving in the kitchen and fitted walk-in wardrobe interiors.
A landed home at Bukit Timah, completed June 2026. Classic detailing throughout — glazed
display cabinetry, moulded door faces, herringbone and chevron floors — executed as fitted
joinery rather than bought-in furniture.
Glazed display cabinetry, wall after wall
Full-height glazed cabinets run along the reception rooms and the study: white frames, dark
interiors, adjustable shelving behind glass. Glass doors are unforgiving. A frame that racks by a
millimetre shows as a gap at the top of the stile, and with eight doors in a row the eye reads the
line across all of them rather than each one on its own.
A wardrobe room built as cabinetry, not carpentry
The walk-in wardrobe is the most detailed work in the house: moulded timber door faces with
octagonal panel insets, gold trim lines, and mirrored returns. Behind them the interiors are
conventional and practical — open shelving, hanging rails at two heights, drawer banks with
soft-close boxes.
The mouldings have to mitre cleanly at every corner and the insets have to repeat at the same
spacing across doors of different widths, which means the setting-out is done from the drawing file
rather than from the opening.
The island
The kitchen island is finished in a quartzite with strong veining and returns as a mitred
waterfall. A mitre on stone is a 45° cut on two slabs that has to close as a line, and the
veining has to continue around the corner. Out by a degree and the joint opens; out by a millimetre
and the pattern stops matching. There is no second attempt on a slab.
